MLD Testimonials

"When you’re on chemotherapy, if your blood count is low, they give you drugs to boost the count. After my second chemo treatment, my blood count plummeted. Luckily, I was introduced to Cynthia who had successfully worked with cancer patients. I went for MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) four or five days prior to my third chemo treatment. Then, for my third chemo visit, my oncologist at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center said, ‘This is unbelievable, your blood count is so high, it indicates you’re not even on chemo!’.

"Before MLD, I had always gotten colds and bronchitis, but since having regular MLD, I rarely get sick. I personally have found it to keep my immune system strong. So now every time I fly, I have MLD before I travel."

"I had a re-occurrence of late-stage ovarian cancer and am keeping up with MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) through chemo again. With chemotherapy, it’s common for blood counts to go down the toilet, but this time my blood counts have never dipped below normal--even though I’m doing a much heavier dose of chemotherapy. My oncologist at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center said, ‘I don’t know what you’re doing, but keep it up!’."

A friend recommended Cynthia to me and I can’t thank her enough. She and Jean are so wonderful. It’s good to know there are people out there who are so genuine and caring."

"Numbness and tingling of the hands and feet was a common side effect of the chemotherapy I received following surgery. The treatment had a cumulative effect, so with each successive dose, the side effects worsened. In a chance encounter, I had the pleasure of meeting a survivor who had a similar form of cancer as I did and underwent the same treatment. She referred me to Cynthia, who became my healer for the duration of my treatment and through my recovery. I started MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) about midway through my 16-week cycle of chemotherapy and noticed an improvement almost immediately. With each MLD session, the numbness and tingling gradually lessened; conversely, if I missed a session, the sensations intensified.

Beyond that, I also noticed an improvement in my overall energy level. Remarkably, towards the end of my treatment (when the side effects should have been the worst), I interviewed for and landed a new job. I started just one week after finishing chemotherapy (and am still here today). I don’t think I would have been able to do that - to feel that good - without MLD. Cynthia is a talented therapist and an awesomely caring individual, who addresses both the physical and emotional needs of her clients. A dear friend gave me MLD therapy as a gift in support of my well-being during cancer treatment. It was truly one of the best gifts I ever received - one that greatly enhanced my quality of life."
